I wanted to share one of my all-time favorite luxury boutique hotels – L’Auberge de Sedona. I’ve had the pleasure to stay at L’Auberge resort 3 times with my husband…it’s a luxurious investment for my mind, body and soul.
I just came back from a beautiful “soul connective” girl’s vacation in Bundville, Vermont. I have a sacred soul sister group, every year we plan a girl’s getaway to keep our connection strong, and our bond tight. This year we chose the Green Mountain State, Vermont. So why Vermont? Well, there was certainly something that led us there. A yoga festival called Wanderlust, the weekend of June 18th and we all just happened to be free for some vacation time. With Wanderlust calling us and our open availability… all energies aligned just right to find our “True North” Wanderlust journey.

Today I wanted to share a business that supports and honors our military troops and spouses. R. Riveter American Handmade bags are a business filled with heart and honorable intention. So what is it that is so special about these American handcrafted bags?
R.Riveter is owned by Military spouses. It provides portable careers to Military spouses who produce their quality handbags and purses.
If you love charming & eclectic but also lux amenities… then this post on a charismatic boutique Inn is for you. Last year I was looking for a Northern CA vacation, I found a wonderful boutique B&B called, the Vagabond’s House Inn located in Carmel, CA. When I came across The Vagabond’s House Inn website, a picture of a re-modeled room flashed on their homepage site… that was it, I was intrigued and researched deeper. After reading various great reviews on the Inn, I eagerly decided to book our stay at the Vagabond.
I recently received the most purposeful, heartfelt gift full of abundance, protection and cleansing properties. One of my very dear friends hosted a beautiful dinner party and made these little gift bags for all of the guests to take home. The bags were filled with fresh herbs from her garden- aromatic cinnamon sticks, Juniper berries and an orange. Also included were 2 note cards, 1st card described each of the ingredients & the energy contained. 2nd card included instructions.
I awoke the next morning, excited to use the gift and fill my home with the aromatic essence. I put a pot of water on the stove and plopped in the herbs, cinnamon & berries. I zested the orange over the pot; instantly I was invigorated from the fresh citrus zest! Per the instructions, I peeled the orange and indulged. Such a beautiful way to start the morning… throughout the day I was embraced with the crisp, earthy aromas dancing around my home and calming my energy. The love and attention to detail in this gift from the heart will be with me always. Such a simple, caring & thoughtful way to engage friends and family.
Whether using this idea as a gift, aromatherapy in your own home or traveling, I have found that it creates a priceless journey offering eternal connection. Thank you Amanda for the beautiful gift filled with blessings and inspiration.

Sedona has a special place in my heart; my soul is immediately connected once I arrive in the majestic Red Rocks. I have been coming to Sedona for 15 years to offer connection to myself, my hubby and with family and friends. The energy in Sedona is so special, grounding and uplifting. I will be sharing lots of places, some of which include beautiful hikes to cozy, modern lodges and hotels, to yummy local restaurants. For this post, I’d like to share my most recent journey to the healing Red Rocks for a quick but super potent 48 hour soul connecting vacation with my husband and Ellie May, our boxer pup.

Happy 2016!!! I’ll bet there are lots of New Year resolutions and goals set out there that are awesome; but how do you feel after you have either hit or missed that resolution? Well I have hit some and missed a lot! I am a big dreamer and have so many passions and aspirations for the New Year but with a busy and unpredictable day-to-day life, some resolutions don’t come to fruition. I can feel defeated because I don’t achieve what my goals and dreams look or “what I think” should feel like. So in comes a life test on balance, patience and an important tool, to “believe” in yourself. Just a few things I have learned along the way and into each New Year.
Enter, “Word of the Year”! I learned one of the most amazing tools back in 2012 while participating in a small business program with my Mom/ business partner for our sweet biz, Goodytwos Toffee Company. In this program we were asked to pick a word of the year to live by for both within our business and in our personal lives. My first word was “opportunity”. There are so many challenges in life & work, I wanted to see the opportunity in the challenges and the opportunity in all aspects of my life. I wrote my word of the year on our chalkboard wall we had in our office so I could see it every day. Before I knew it I saw opportunity everywhere and in all things. I shared this concept with my husband and he decided to join in and choose a word of the year, his was “freedom”. What I found is instead setting one BIG ambitious goal; choosing one word to live by the whole year is obtainable and transcending… not just for the year, but it will become indelible and continue to be present for years to come.
It’s been 4 years that I have added a new word for the year to guide me and assist in my personal growth. My husband, my Mom and a group of my girlfriends all continue to pick a word of the year. We all will check in with each other and find how our words of the year have impacted our lives, made us more conscious & connected. My word for 2016 is CREATE. So here I am sharing a simple tool that has profoundly changed the way I enter into each year. I have “created” this post with the hope that it might inspire others to do the same and then share their word with family and friends. What will your word of 2016 be, how will it impact you and awaken you in the quiet times, or when challenges or should I say “opportunities” arise, how will one simple word be used as your guide to living a purposeful life?
Enjoy the word of the year journey ahead… its sure to enlighten one’s soul, cultivate compassion, connection and elevate your life and others around you.
Create: to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes.
“Keep your face to the sunshine and you can not see the shadows. It’s what Sun flowers do.” – Helen Keller
I love sunflowers, always brighten a room and make my heart happy. I made this sunflower arrangement for my Mom recently. The sunflowers are from Trader Joes (love their flowers, fresh, affordable and long-lasting), used a mason jar from home for the vase. My Mom is my best friend, my light and inspiration…our souls are tethered together. I have immense gratitude for this woman who always empowers me to dream big & live a life you love. The best gift my Mom has ever given me is her unconditional LOVE and always believing in me. Love you Mom, you are my sunshine.
Sending light and energy to all. Sunflower Wisdom. ♥
